The male and female have different characteristic. The male has grey hair on its crown. The chest is green, and the back and the wing are carmine. Feathers covering its tail edge are reddish brown. The mouth is yellowish green, the mouth edge is red, the leg is red, and the skin around the eyes is blue. The female has the green head, feathers covering its tail edge are beige, and the wing has the small yellow stripe.
Can be found in Asia near Nepal, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Lao, and Cambodia. In Thailand, it can be found in every region.
